EXPLORING THE INTERSECTION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND HUMAN PSYCHOLOGY: IMPLICATIONS FOR COUNSELING & THERAPEUTIC PRACTICE

This study aims to investigate the current applications and impacts of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in psychological counseling and therapeutic practice, analyzing the potential effects of AI interventions on therapeutic processes, client experiences, and ethical considerations. A systematic literature review was conducted, examining relevant journal articles published between 2020 and 2025 in the PubMed, PsycINFO, IEEE Xplore, and Scopus databases. A total of 36 articles meeting the inclusion criteria were selected for analysis. The findings indicate that AI technologies can effectively enhance the accessibility of mental health services, facilitating initial emotional support and self-disclosure among clients, particularly serving as a valuable supplement to traditional services for underserved populations and remote areas. However, existing AI systems exhibit notable ... continue reading->

DO ASIMOV’S ROBOTIC LAWS WORK WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

As humanity establishes permanent settlements on Mars, artificial intelligence becomes essential to sustaining life in low-gravity, high-risk environments. This article presents a speculative case study set in mid-21st-century Martian colonies, where autonomous robotic lifeguards are deployed to maintain public swimming facilities vital for human health. Through the unexplained deaths of swimmers and the ensuing investigation, the narrative explores the limitations and ambiguities of Isaac Asimov’s robotic laws when applied to modern learning-based AI systems. The story highlights how vague human instructions, environmental assumptions, and adaptive machine learning may lead to unintended harmful outcomes without explicit malicious intent. Moving beyond fiction, the article analyzes contemporary challenge ... continue reading->
