The present study focuses on the investigation of the impressions of the students of the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology of the University of Ioannina, after their internship, which took place in the context of the course 'Language Education: The language course in secondary education. Theory and practice of teaching' in schools in the city of Ioannina, Greece. Specifically, the students' impressions of the pedagogical climate in the classroom of public secondary schools of the municipality of Ioannina were examined. A total of 88 students participated in this study. The present study revealed that there is a positive pedagogical climate in the secondary schools of the city of Ioannina, but there are also practices that refer to the traditional authoritarian pedagogical model. At the same time, small deviations were found between the pedagogical climate in the Model Experimental Secondary school and the other secondary schools of the city of Ioannina
